It’s tough to recommend this book today. I couldn't finish it. The book is a collection of short stories that take sharp, often aggressive, aim at 2008 America. While there was certainly plenty to critique at the time, the book offers little in the way of practical solutions. The narratives feel loosely connected and come across more like a series of disjointed, ranting blog posts than a cohesive work deserving of a hardcover.
