Okay, I know I said I wasn't going to read the next one but I decided to check it out since it was already on my kindle. It was better than the first one. It did keep my interest better than the first one and I didn't fall asleep reading it.

I almost quit reading this a few times but I was curious to see where it was going. It's a curse really. It is so hard for me to quit on a book. I was so glad when it picked up the pace. The first part of the book was pretty boring but when the chase got to Alaska it was more interesting and less painful. I live in Alaska and know most of the place names but the story was so over the top crazy. Some of the “scarier” parts actually made me laugh because of how absurd they were. I don't think I want to read more by this author.

This was a nice little fluff read. Sometimes I just need something light to give my brain a break. I'm not big on romance stories but these aren't too bad. This story was cute and sometimes a little sad. I do like the characters from the Cedar Cove series so I love when their names pop up in these stories. When I read about Amanda I thought of the short story, "What Amanda Wants" and but in this case it's the mother that has cancer. I wish things moved a little faster, like with the obvious romance that is brewing between the handyman and the innkeeper. The cranky old man bit is getting old.

I didn't like this story as much as the first 3 books. I almost didn't finish this one and only did because it was an audiobook. I don't think I'll read the last two books.

I thought this volume was pretty cool. I enjoyed the artwork but Dceased Vol #1 was better. I'm curious where they take the story from here. Can they put the earth back together? lol
