This list contains Pulitzer Prize-winning fiction since the Fiction Prize's inception in 1948. The Pulitzer Prizes and Fellowships were established in Columbia University by Joseph Pulitzer. Prizes are awarded by the University on the recommendation of The Pulitzer Prize Board and are announced in Spring. Nominees are organized into 22 categories across journalism, books, drama and music.
