3.5 STARS!!!!!
i like the series more with every book that i've read...... even though i still yell out “WTF” at least once per book lol
super excited to finish this series, and i'm already thinking about doing a re-read once i catch up on cassandra clare's books (i just have to read clockwork princess, and the dark artifices trilogy).
i'm just skeptical bc of the whole incest storyline even though it's not real. i just remember being completely freaked out by clary being like "oh! this is so wrong! but i can't wait to make-out with my brother again! ugh he's so hot!"
I always enjoy books that are set in the surrounding Boston area! I've lived here for the last 6 years and it's always so cool to see places I know in books. This book had really great political undertones and I loved how the author made the monsters just so normal. The writing was so well done as well.

DNF'd at 23%. I really enjoyed the first two books in this trilogy but this one felt like a completely different series. The main character took her rightful place as a princess and just acted so spoiled all the time I couldn't keep reading. I'm really disappointed that I didn't enjoy this.

This was a mostly satisfying ending to this trilogy. I enjoyed the politics and the mob storylines, but the ending of this felt very rushed.

This was my first of this author's books and now I can't wait to go back and read all their previous works. I really enjoyed the overarching feel of this story. I'm not really a slasher person but I have seen all the classics and I can appreciate all the easter eggs, which was definitely one of my favorite parts. The main character was super badass and I loved it.

This was a sastisfying conclusion to this trilogy and it feels great to finally be done. I've been reading these books as they released and seeing the characters grow and age has been great. I feel like this book got pretty boring about 40% of the way through but the ending definitely saved it

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
i really connected to the main character in a way that i don't think i have ever connected to a character
1st read:
AHHHHHHHHH! this is my first brandon sanderson book and though i know he mostly writes adult fantasy, i am looking forward to reading everything else he's published.
i read the majority of this on my 8 hour flight back from vacation and it was honestly perfect. the sequel comes out in december and i can't wait!!!!!!!
3rd read:
still as good as it was the first two times.... this is on the list of books to read if you genuinely want to know me
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THIS IS OFFICIALLY ONE OF MY FAVORITE SERIES OF ALL TIME!!!! this book was everything i wanted and it had me on the verge of tears multiple times (which is super rare for me). i already want to reread it so i can annotate it with all my favorite parts.
3.75 stars!!!!!!
my favorite book in the trilogy! gemma was so much more likable and much more independent and seeing that growth in her makes me so happy!!!! i love libba bray's writing soooo much, only 3 more book then i think i've read all of her novels (before the devil breaks you, vacations from hell, and it's just jump to the left for those wondering)
this book felt very unneeded in the series but also kinda ended on a cliffhanger????? idk but i'm glad to finally finish this series after like 8 years lol
This is a really interesting book for kids! There were a ton of facts about different animals, and I actually learned somethings from this book

This book was awesome!!! I loved the setting and the characters were all so different and interesting. My only problem was that I kept wanting MORE to happen, but that's more of a me problem than a book problem.

This book really exceeded my expectations! As a horror movie fan I was interested in the concept of this nonfiction book, and was pleasantly surprised when it actually talked about the science behind why people enjoy horror! It was broken down into easily digestible sections and went really deep into how different parts of our body reactions to horror. I really enjoyed the section about music and how the different tones cause different reactions, it was very well researched and obvious that the author knew what she was talking about. I would definitely recommend this to any horror movie fan!

4.5 stars!!!
I think I will love everything Angie Thomas writes. The representation is incredible for a middle grade novel, not glazing over the real life stuggles of being a black girl. The magic world is super interesting as well, and perfectly integrated into the story so I'm never left confused and I know exactly what is going on. This is everything that I love in a middle grade novel. Only deducted a half star because I didn't absolutely LOVE it. But because of how much I loved the main character, I'm really looking forward to reading more in this series.

This was my first Becky Albertalli book, since I was never interested in any of her past books. I really enjoyed this! I remember the controversy behind the author feeling forced to come out because of all the backlash from her past books because of queer representation and this felt like incredible comentary on that side of queer culture. I liked the main character, Imogen, and I enjoyed seeing her come to terms with her bisexuality despite it feeling wrong. The college setting was interesting and I wished I had a friend group like she does. My only complaint is that I wish there was more! Another chapter, an epilogue, something! Overall, a great story about discovering queerness and acceptance!

3.5 stars!!!
Knowing that this was going to be from ANOTHER POV when going into it really raised my enjoyment. It was really nice to follow Robbie through his struggles in the second book, but going into the details of why it worked so well for me would be a huge spoiler for book 2. I just love T.J. Klune's writing, he has a way of making the characters jump off the page and feel so real. I wish I was one of the people that this book made cry but it just didn't hurt me the way I wanted it to. The plot throughout this is so sad and heartbreaking and I was rooting for Robbie the whole time. I'm looking forward to seeing how the overarching plot of the series is going to wrap up in the final book!

This was a cute collection of love stories surrounding witchcraft, and a townwide tradition. I've never read anything written by Sandhya Menon or Evelyn Skye, but I've loved everything I've read by Roshani Chokshi, so I thought I would give this a chance. I was not disappointed! There's an overarching storyline through the three stories (which is my favorite kind of anthologies) and it kept me so interested that I read the whole book in one sitting. I loved the generational witchcraft that was included in this and how the character wasn't ashamed of that part of herself.
