I pre-ordered this because I love this series but I wasn't at all sure I was interested in Lundy's story. And yet this one might have hit home the most of any of them so far.
I wanted to like this, since I've heard pretty much nothing but good things about it, but I think I broke my gore-for-gore's-sake appreciation. Also the world building is kind of weak; the way Satanism works for the witches doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. It's well written in that I liked the dialog, and the art is perfect for the mood.
I saw almost every one of the plot twists coming, but this is the sort of book where you don't really mind it. Good action, interesting characters, and a decent supernatural element make for a quick, fun thriller.
Sweet, potato chippy and compulsively readable - I opened it to make sure the file downloaded correctly and ended up reading it straight through.
