Even though i had a great history teacher at school - those books are great in showing the history events from multiple different perspectives. It is one thing to learn about history from the strategic point of view, but looking from everyday people, especially on the other side of the fence (anti-nazi resistance movement in germany) is eye opening.
Also, f*** russia. Now and then.
Too much God and the books seems really watered-down. It would be better if it was half that long. I do regret not reading the original, cut down version
