I really enjoyed this book, I thought the world, characters and magic system were very well written and engaging. My only gripe would be the pacing felt a tad slow but it didn't bother me too much as the book kept me hooked regardless.
Very much looking forward to the 2nd book, and already dreading waiting for the 3rd
good world building and a lot of interesting well written details especially in the first part, but trailed off a bit by the end
(5/10) I really expected more from this, after hearing it hyped up so much over the past few years. A decent premise but I didn't find the execution particularly interesting.
Way too many things feel very familiar and evocative of other books, and the book was much more YA than I went in expecting
