this was my very first ARC copy and it did not disappoint! This novel was fun and witty with a small hint of spice and a whole lot of sass from the character Scarlett. That girl had no filter and I loved it! Grace, the FMC, lives in “Hell's Gate” which is flooding with killer clowns, vampires, demons and other paranormal crazies. All the while she's trying out a dating app. Not only does she have a mystery man she's been chatting with, she has a new boss that's a hardass to deal with too. While juggling her career, new boss, and most of her dates ending up dead, will she be able to survive in hells gate and find someone to be with?

Oh this was a good one! A kingdom on a brand new planet that is unlike any other. Two suns, longer days, longer seasons. Other worldly creatures. And magic. I loved the creation of an unnatural world. It was new and exciting and so many different things to experience. There was so much character growth throughout from the main characters to even the side characters. An arranged marriage between Linneya and Darryn that progressively builds that leaves you with all kinds of emotions. All the while trying to prevent a war from happening in Linneya's homeland. Linneya finding her true self and being welcomed to a new found family was so heartwarming. There was so much going on but the way the author created it all, it flowed seamlessly. This was an enchanting read.

Oh sweet Eve. Sweet Emery. How my heart broke for you both—but was then put back together. Eve had so much going on and she grew to be even stronger than she ever thought. Emery grew to love and care and grew emotionally strong for Eve—and for himself. Their love for each other may not be conventional and may not make sense to most; but it made sense to them and that's what mattered. I enjoyed this book almost as much as the first—almost. There was love, heartbreak, revenge, justice. And every piece fit perfectly. This duology will forever be one of my absolute fucking favorites.

After the cliffhanger from the first book—Eve was taken to a “recovery center” but while there she was beginning to see her own ghosts. Her own phantom of Emery. She was struggling to see what was fiction and was reality. But while at the center she felt something was “off”. Something wasn't right. She needed to escape. Emery, was discovered by people he never thought he'd see again. But he was determined to get back to his Eve. No matter who got in the way. But those people had other plans first. To seek out revenge to those who traumatized them as kids— they want Emery to help, the same way he got his personal revenge on Eve's family 9 years prior.

Thank you so much @loradarcauthor for creating such wonderful books. Creating characters I grew to love and care so much about. Thank you for allowing me to read both books before release. I'm forever grateful and you have a forever reader.

Oh. My. Goodness. I absolutely devoured this book and read it in one day. From the very first chapter I was invested and I had to continue reading. The development of the main characters, the story and the emotional rollercoaster I went on—amazing. The MMC is definitely not someone you should love considering he's a killer but it's hard not to. The twists and turns were perfect in every way and there were times I was literally holding my breath. The book ends on a cliffhanger and I'm dying for the second book.

Eve's family was murdered by Emery. And now she's wanting answers as to why. Taking on the role of his therapist she gains access to meetings with Emery. She wanted revenge. To hurt him like he hurt her. But the more she meets with him the more secrets are uncovered about her life and his. Her determination for closure ends up turning into something more complicated and extremely dangerous. But for Eve it's not about justice for her family anymore. It's digging deeper to find out what truly happened to make Emery a monster.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This was my first book by this author and I am disappointed with myself that I haven't read any of her other books sooner. Johnny is delightful in the most twisted, unhinged way. His witty remarks and twisted humor is just perfect and I couldn't help but laugh. Johnny gets what he wants and does whatever he wants in the most unconventional way and I'm here for it. This was a quick read but it was written so well that I want to read more about Johnny. I never thought I'd like a clown before. But apparently Johnny is an exception. ••••••••
Alaska, the FMC, sees her worth through the end of the book and knows she deserves better than her shithead boyfriend mark. Even if part of it stemmed from an unusual snowman gift.

I recommend reading this if you want a quick, horror hallmark Christmas novella. But also if you're looking for a super twisted mmc. Because to be honest, who isn't.

“Killer clown, killer clown, Stalking through the snow, Ribbons tight, silent night, Nowhere left to go.”
“Killer clown, killer clown, On his blood-red sleigh, No escape, his twisted shape, You're all his to slay.”
“Blood-red bows, icy toes, Underneath the tree, With twisted glee, you'll never be free, His gift to you is he.”

This was a “I have to finish reading this before I go to sleep” book. And it did not disappoint. Henry-unhinged, morally grey, h!tman-what more could you want. Lydia-book writer of very similar men-which initially draws Henry to her. If she can write about those type of men and they find love, why can't he. He decided to make Lydia his. But in a more unconventional way. As with any morally grey man, you can't help but love him, especially when he accepts the dog of the girl he desires too. Doing anything and everything to protect those he cares about all the while being mysterious about his true self. The character growth for Henry and Lydia was tremendous. I wish it was a little bit longer so I could read more of their story. But I loved it, nonetheless, and I enjoyed flying through it.
