I really liked this book! I enjoyed reading it, which is always important, and loved the plot of the book! It felt similar to the Songs About a Girl trilogy, but in a good way. Overall I think the characters are well written and the story developed quite well. My favorite thing about the book was how natural it all seemed. Sometimes books involving bands and artists can seem unrealistic, but this one was on point! I resonated with Stella a lot, as I also love photography and would love to tour with a band as a photographer! The only thing I would say bugged me a little was how Stella smilingly forgot her siblings and parents while on tour. For someone so afraid to accept the job because of her family, she definitely didn't talk to them enough. BUT, I do recommend this book!
It took me a long time to read this book. I've had it in my shelf for years and could bring myself read it as I first bought it, so I had to force myself to do it now. I didn't like the first half of the book. I felt like there was nothing going on, the characters were flat and there was no emotion. However, this changed a little once I got to the middle of the book. I became slightly more interested in what was going on, but quickly figured out where it was leading (yes, I figured out the whole shenanigans early on) and still thought it was dull and lacked action/emotion. All in all, this book was a no for me. Even though I liked the metaphors and the plot had potential, it could have bee told in a much interesting way and less pages.
The story was cute and the characters weren't bad. I just thought there was room for more character development and to dive in deeper into the plot. Some of the topics were brushed too quickly and it made the story feel too abrupt at times.
Loved the interaction between Myla and Ryot and the side characters were amazing was well. This hook was written beautifully and it was so entertaining. I also really liked how realistic it was and how everything payed out.
I didn't love the plot, but maybe I'd think of it differently if I was younger. I also thought Emery and Kaiden's relationship was too weird. But it was beautifully written and I cried my eyes out in the end.
The story and writing feels very mature and calming in a way, even though I don't usually like 3rd person, this isn't as bad. I do feel like, from a PR stand point, the way they are going at this contract is very much reckless. They should've never done the interview without training. There should've been a clause saying they cannot “break-up” for a few months after going public. As much as a successful story can make the company, an unsuccessful one can break it. Buuuut I completely fell in love with Jess, River, Juno, Fizzy, Nana Jo and Pops. All of their relationships were amazing in their own way. River is the ultimate book boyfriend.
Very fast paced and a page turner! However... Some things are a little rushed and not very veridic, like they thinking they're already pregnant, the ambulance coming so quickly and having to take a polygraph test. Also, a lot of loose threads left hanging for no reason. And the ending? Not predictable at all....
Not Freida's best work. Predictable and missing in plot and development. Character's were annoying too. But it's Freida McFadden, so it can't be all that bad!
The twists were amazing and I loved the juxtaposition of both Adrienne's and Tricia's POV and the tape recordings. I liked of everything tied together.
I enjoyed the plot and the character development of both Vivian and Dante. Their relationship also evolved into something beautiful. But I did find the book lacked something... More emotion or a different pace, not sure.
Cute and a good way to end the series. However, felt very lackluster as the plot goes. Character development was amazing, but there was not a lot going on. Cal and Lana are very cute together though, specially when adding Cami. Loved seeing the other couples too.
Lacked character and plot development. Felt too dull. I liked the word that the author introduced, but I wasn't particularly crazy about this particular couple/story.
Quick and easy read, enjoyable too. Just felt a little dull and immature at some parts.
