So very different, and better, than the film, far more about the characters relationships
A drunken drug induced mental breakdown that almost sent me over the edge too. I thought I enjoyed, On The Road, when I read it 15+ years ago, but know I wonder if the years have made me forgot what that book was really like too.
A well written account of Liverpool's over achievement in the 2005 Champions League final and how they got there under the new leadership of Rafa. The first time I've read any account of the final, since being in Istanbul to watch it first hand. It brought back some great memories and provided titbits I wasn't aware of.
As good now, as the last time I read it, when it was first published. I'd pretty much forgotten every word!
I'm not sure anyone will write a better account of their experience of catching covid.
A most unexpected end!
A great read, always good to have something different in a cricket book
During the time it took to complete, I read about 120 other books, waited 12 months to eventually see the show in the West End, watched the show on Disney over a dozen times and listened to the soundtrack on Spotify countless times.
A great read, but not an easy one.
My favourite read of the year so far, with only 32 days left of the year I doubt it will be bettered.
Great read, I knew his poetry, but had no idea of his incredible back story.
To think, the “Godfather of British , performance poetry” now walks the same paths as me. Next time we pass each other, maybe we can discuss our mutual love of Louis Prima!
And I need you more than I want you.
And I want you for all time.
Is the greatest lyric, not written by a Beatle
I had no idea so many other people loved this song so much.
A wonderful book, for many different reasons. I've read it twice, ready for online school assembly, next week.
Not sure I understand it much more now than I did the first time I read it, when I was 18!
