Harry Potter is a great story in a magical universe that fills me with joy and nostalgia and I truly love the universe, though this book is not my favorite of the series.
I do want to say another thing:
Obviously, the writer of this book is not someone I want to support and I urge you to buy these books secondhand if you can.
This book was captivating and I would say even more so than the first. The clues got together quite nicely and this mystery was quite a little bit harder for the golden trio to solve which I liked.
I also liked how we got to meet several new characters, including some minor ones, and professor Lockhart. He is an idiot, but a great character nonetheless.
I thought this was a great and enjoyable book with dark themes to it which I now understand is just a foretaste of what is to come in the latter books
This book was the best so far. Interesting plot, interesting and new characters, gruesome wending and everything
I kinda skimmed this book (oops) because there were so MANY plotholes... Literally a drop of that truth potion could have solved the entire plot of this book, all the problems in it but whateverrr...
I did love the characters though and am excited for the rest of the story, now that we are nearing the more dark storylines.
Good book with great characters and plot! It did drag on a little nearing the end, though
3,5* stars!
this book was quite entertaining, though I find Nesta & Rhysand to be the best characters.
I also couldn't complete love the characters, simply cause I already know what will happen in the next books and thus a lot of it seems useless or cringe to read with that knowledge.
I thought I wouldn't love this one as much as I did, but god.
This book was relatable and heartfelt. It was heartbreaking and touching and it got emotions and thoughs across so extremely well. I found everything believable and relatable and it was just a beautiful book.
Not to mention the gay romance in it, taking a while to take shape which made me beg so desperately for it but it was all worth the while.
This one absolutely deserves 5/5 stars
It took me a bit to get into the flow but gods I am utterly obsessed with Jacks and this story and the magic in it is so much fun
An all time favorite and an all time favorite character. Katniss is someone I relate to and the series is written so well. This reread (of the series ) was in honour of ballad of songbirds and snakes!
This stupid book is why I'm still awake at 3AM.
Damnit.
I loved this one.
I loved the POV's.
I loved the struggles and how the tearing down of the forest was told.
I loved the reuniting with the Tribe and found them 200% less annoying than the last book.
I do wonder how they suddenly find the new territory so easily at the end of Dawn since we havent wven crossed sun-down place?? But maybe I misread smth oop cause I mean it is 3AM.
Anyway I loved the story and the characters. I think it's a great setup for the rest of the books in this series.
harry is a bisexual disaster being obsessed with both draco & ginny. anyway dumbledore is also a villain who never tells harry the full truth and is still “a hero” yeah i think the fuck not
This ending was very good.
Also still a chefs kiss for the characters, plot and just the series.
Real rating: 3,5* stars
I was completely ready to give this book 3 stars, but then the part where Nate got arrested pulled up and everything got way more fast-paced, exciting and mysterious. The others were rushing to found the truth at last now that one of them is behind bars and that is what really got me absorbed into the pages.
Everything before that part I liked, especially Bronwyn and Nate, but not that much.
The POV's were often short and in the beginning I even found them a little confusing cause they switched a lot and their personalities didn't seem as defined (because of the shortness and switching of the pov's).
What also annoyed me was the way Janae defended Simon. His behavior was gross and even got more gross as he continued down his spiral. Yet she kept defending him even when she started to back down from Simon and Jake's plan.
And god, Jake is such an a**hole.
So many thoughts and all I can say is that I loved it. I wish we would have gotten more of this universe and this lore. It is so intensely good and I'm so happy
This book is so painful and makes me ache and makes me weep and love and there's so many things going on I don't know what to focus on
I spend a lot of time reading the books of His Dark Materials and now that I'm done i'm just empty and that's when you know a series was good. The way that you feel empty, almost numb, and not knowing what the hell you were supposed to do now.
I loved the series, all that happened and the ending too, even though it made me ache.
3.5 stars**
I liked this book very much, but its not my favorite. Not huge on romances personally
Iconic series. So much nostalgia.
I forgot how the writing style was in the first book and boy I am glad it improves over time.
Cringy from time to time, but then again i'm 18 and this is marketed for kids
