3.5 for me- nowhere near as compelling as Unhoneymooners was for me and sometimes I felt Anna had the millennial cringe I so desperately try to escape in my everyday life
Wanted to see what the hype was about and ended up finding a book I fell in love with. Enjoyed this more than ACOTAR. There was good action all the way through, Yarros was great at world building but keeping it interesting. Love a last page twist as well
never thought I'd be sitting in my car sobbing about an octopus but here we are. five stars.
I wasn't wowed by the ending because I felt that it was out of line from that character's previous actions, but appreciated that the author had it make logical sense and tied up all the loose ends. Good for a quick and easy read!
Eek. Wanted to love it. Didn't get good until 95% through and then even then...just wasn't a satisfying ending for anyone. I wasn't into the narrator either and found her self important and not always observant. I wouldn't have minded this as a 200 page book without all the side stories.
