A 4.5 for me. I found Clarke's insight into technology, written decades ago, profound. Without a doubt a classic - its influence on other more modern works of science fiction is immediately apparent.
I don't typically read noir/crime fiction but found this one thrilling, well paced, and touching at times. Left me satisfied.
An easy read for the type of person who likes to browse Wikipedia for entertainment.
