Enthralled
This book is well written and kept me hooked. I hope one day she will add more to this allowing us to have a greater look into this post apocalyptic world.
Great read !!!
It had me turning pages and wouldn't let me put it down. I can't wait to see the next chapter in this series!!
Interesting
The book held my attention making me have to finish it the same day. The dynamic between the main characters where a whirlwind. The only thing that got me is waiting for the twist other reviews mentioned. From the character progression you can tell how it would end up. The best part is the mirroring of the beginning and end. You start to see that just one difference can change a persons outlook and direction of life. Overall this was enjoyable and I would love to see how the author grows in his writing!
As always Chanda Hahn has enthralled me. As I am waiting for the next in the Eville series to come I decided to try another of her series. I was not disappointed. It's the feel of American Gods and Hunger Games. If you like rewritten lord/fairytales then this book and this writer is for you!!
I borrowed this book as a way to force myself to read something different. I am so glad I did. The journey of not seeing clearly to the redemption each character is searching for, makes this book a page turner. The writing is almost as if you were there, the feelings of joy, sadness, anger, guilt all can be felt. It takes you on a journey you can't forget.
Boring and lacking continuity
I wanted badly to like this book. It had good parts but the unnecessary foot notes broke up the parts that would keep you engaged. It jumps from her first hand diary to her family background giving the reader a feeling of some one moving from a good story to a history lesson.
At first I thought I had guessed the twist that was coming near the beginning of the book. And as I continued to read it was so playing into it then at the end the author takes a shovel and says nope just kidding!! I was thoroughly entertained by this book and cannot wait to read more from this author

Pretty but aimless
I am not certain how to feel about this book. Beautiful writing without a purpose is all I can think.
Good and insightful
I originally never intended on reading this. As with most my reads I try to stay away from those overly hyped everywhere. But after reading the synopsis I thought what they hay. I am sooooo glad I did. The writing touched a heavy topic of regret and what if, but the authors way of playful and witty words helped smooth those sharp edges. The insight within this book had me highlighting quote after quote because it resonates with the reader.
Fun read
Fun book with bite sized mysteries. As each are unrelated to each othe I find this a great introduction to Mr. Poirot!
A classic retelling with humor!
Enjoyable read. The “twist” of the plot was a little to easy to spot near the beginning. The wonderful writing with the humor was enough to make up for it. We often get retelling of fairy tales and myths but this classic retelling is just what I needed!
Finally finished as I had to put this down sooooo often. Painfully boring it could have been half the size and actually be palatable. Definitely will not read this author again!
Interesting and needed to finish
The story itself kept me wanting to read more. However, at times it felt as if the author expanded upon areas that didn't need it and ignored areas that did.
