This was an extremely fun read. It feels like I've just jumped into Narnia with Susan, Lucy, Edmund and Peter. It feels very nostalgic, though this is my first read. There's a cosy, homely feeling to it, and I really adore this book! I was quite sad when Aslan supposedly died, but he came back to life. Typical of him.
This was an amazing book! I couldn't put it down. The title seems really sad at first, but I promise you, it's a happy ending.
The second book in continuation of Hetty Feather. It was emotional, amazing, and the plot is interesting. All elements of Jacqueline's beautifully written books.
This is the third book in the Hetty Feather series, and shows Hetty more grown up, and in my opinion, mature, but still her fiery personality. I really loved this book, and also reread this MANY times.
This book was interesting, especially because it was written exactly like a Pick The Plot book. There are different outcomes according to the choice you did in the book. There were so many routes in the book, so many things to read about, so many things to connect. So, it was a creative and great book to read.
This was an amazing end to this series, and I love the ideas in it. I am writing the review long after I read it, so it's not really absorbed into me now, but let's just say it was utterly super!
I haven't been much interested in reading classics before I purchased the three Usborne Complete books, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, and Shakespeare. After reading this retelling of all of Dickens's novels, I had to consider how much I've missed. Obviously, I imagine all sorts of characters and scenes are not in these short retellings, but I highly enjoyed them. So, this book has really inspired me to delve deeper into more of what we call classics. <3
That was a delightful read! And, I am very much willing to read the actual novels of Austen's.
That was fascinating! As a mythology lover, I wanted to learn more about diverse cultures and their traditions, since I'm more familiar with Greek, Roman, and Egyptian mythology. And this book provided exactly that, with myths from areas such as Oceania and Africa! A great read, would recommend for people who are interested in learning more about mythology.
This is a very vague but fascinating story, and I was very much intrigued in it! Actually read some analyses of it :D
3.5 stars! Although it wasn't as good as the other books in the collection, I feel like I still enjoyed it. The contents were a bit predictable though.
I loved it! The plot wasn't anything like I imagined. I couldn't guess any of the plot twists, which was unlike me. It was a wild ride!
This book really absorbed me in. The plot is amazing, I could feel the atmosphere surrounding the book, just by reading it. Best read on a rainy day. :D
So this is my second time reading this and honestly rereading made it make so much more sense. The Castle of Otranto is considered one of the first Gothic novels, and I really enjoyed reading it! But I gave this book three and a half stars due to the fact that some of the aspects of the book were never explained but maybe it's just me who's dumb
I finished it a long time ago, just hasn't been active here lately. :) It was a very intriguing read, but it got quite repetitive near the end, and I was losing interest.
Oh my god, why did it end with such a cliffhanger? And, I feel like I do not need to say much. This is PHENOMENAL, cute, amazing, so good to read. I LOVE THIS SERIES!
