Exactly what I would expect from a YA romance novel. Definitely kept my interest and I will be reading the next book in the series.
I feel that this book didn't stand up to her past works. It felt very elementary to me, almost like she didn't write the book. I was disappointed to say the least.
I liked the first half of the book, but the second half got a bit long. Still an enjoyable book.
I was looking forward to reading this coming of age story, but OMG! How is a 25 year old that naive. She clearly has the internet since she is always asking Google for advice. I just can't !
Good book
I love Debbie Macomber books and this one didn't disappoint. I gave it 4 stars only because I think there were a lot of characters to keep straight. That being said, I can't wait to dive into the rest of this series. Especially Justine's life.
This memoir kept me entertained throughout the book. I can see where people can get the idea that it is ego driven, but isn't that the point of a memoir? I found his stories entertaining and yes, Jada was right, it wasn't funny.
I listened to this on audio. I did not like the voice of Lucas and it probably took away something from the book. Still an enjoyable read though.
Not what I hoped
I was disappointed in this book. When I saw Amy Poehler wrote a book I got excited. She is one of the funniest comedians today. So imagine my disappointment when the book turned out to be not so funny. There was enough inside info to keep me reading, but the wow factor was just not there.
This came close to a DNF. The idea of this story sounds interesting, but there was a lot of jumping around between narratives. It could get a bit confusing. I felt like it needed just a bit more.
The book held my interest throughout, It is well written and moves quickly. I would have given it a 5 star, but I figured out the end sooner than I would have liked.
This is a slow burn mystery more so than a thriller, but still just as enjoyable as her other books.
Wow! As a military wife, whose husband had been deployed 7 times, both for war and just to train, this book gave me all the feels. I love how Kristin Hannah just draws you into her books. She is a must read for me every time.
Farmer brown is an ass! Great book that explains labor disputes in layman's terms. Also very humorous.
