Author Bio

Charles Platt was born in London, England, and moved to New York City in 1970. In 1994 he co-founded a cryonics organization called CryoCare in 1994. He was a senior writer at Wired magazine for several years. He is the author of over 40 fiction and nonfiction books, including science-fiction novels such as The Silicon Man and Protektor. His non-fiction works are on the subjects of computer technology and cryonics. In addition to writing, he is a journalist and a computer programmer. He was an editor at three different New York publishing houses, and he designed and edited the British magazine New Worlds.
