Felicity Brooks studied English and Drama at Exeter University and worked as an actor, teacher and lexicographer before starting in children's publishing in the late 1980s. She has written and edited hundreds of titles, including encyclopedias, dictionaries, books about history, geography, languages, science, maths, natural history and the arts as well as easy-reading stories, mythology, novelty books for babies and toddlers and parents' guides. Felicity lives in Oxfordshire with her daughter, a cat called Cobweb, a small white rabbit and two goldfish called Chips and Aurelia.
