Linda May Grobman, MSW, ACSW, LSW, is the founder, publisher, and editor of THE NEW SOCIAL WORKER magazine (http://www.socialworker.com). She has direct social work practice experience in mental health, medical, and organizational settings. Linda served as a staff member of two state chapters of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) before becoming a social work publisher. She has special interests in social work ethics and social work career development. Linda holds a Bachelor of Music (Music Therapy) degree and a Master of Social Work degree, both from the University of Georgia. Linda plays the flute and, most recently, completed training in therapeutic bedside music with the Music for Healing and Transition Program (MHTP). She currently provides therapeutic music services, playing the flute at the bedside, for residents and patients in nursing home and hospice settings.
