Wolf Erlbruch, born in Wuppertal in 1948, is one of Germany’s most popular illustrators. He has received numerous prizes for his work, including the Gutenberg Prize of the City of Leipzig, the German Children’s Book Prize and, most recently, the Hans Christian Andersen Prize. Wolf Erlbruch lives and works as a freelance graphic artist and is professor of illustration in Wuppertal. He is nominated for the “Deutscher Kinder- und Jugendliteraturpreis” 2008.
