TW: Slut Shaming
I gave this book 3.5/5☆
I really enjoyed myself while reading it but it wasn't mindblowing or AMAZING... it was just okay. Most of the characters annoyed the heck out of me. Especially the main character. I hated that people in her town slut shamed her, that's not okay. But sometimes I just wanted to smackahoe because she would make the DUMBEST decisions and she didn't think about how others would feel if the would find out. She just did it and would act the victim when people found out. I also COULD NOT STAND Patrick, he was an asshole and he can choke.
The writing was okay, it was quick and easy to read. I liked the day by day consept and it made it fast paced but, there's one thing I will say. I felt like the storyline was a little confusing at first because its like you're thrown into the middle of a story. I wish there was a prologue that explained what happened in the past a bit.
Personally, I would only recommend this book if you like fluffy contemporary or if you're in a reading slump. Because this book helped me get out of one.
Spoiler-Free Review:
I went into this book mostly blind and I really enjoyed it! Based on the cover, I could tell it was going to be a love triangle which I don't always hate. I really loved the ending of this book! I cannot go into details without being spoilery, so if you're curious, and want spoilers, just shoot me a message. This story follows Molly. She is returning home for the summer before college after spending her senior year at a boarding school. She is not met with a warm welcome from her peers after the events that happened before she went to the boarding school. Gabe and Patrick are brothers and both enamored with Molly. So hard to not be spoilery here. Both guys play games with Molly's heart and mind. If you like a YA contemporary or coming of age, I say this is for you. This is pretty firmly YA, 16+ for mentions for mentions of sexual content (there are no explicit scenes) and language
