An ARC from Library Thing. “Jenny Colgan-esque”. Young woman travels from US to Alps because her deceased great grandmother wrote her a letter telling her of a hidden treasure left behind at the home she grew up in before immigrating to the US. She (Simone) has a best friend (yenta-ish but well-meaning) who pushed her to make this trip and step out of her boundaries, which included fear of flying. She had no idea of where the treasure might be in the Avre (the name of the town) nor did she know if she had any living relatives there. It is a silly, juvenile plot where the entire trip ends up being serendipitous with one event leading to another, leading to coincidences, etc. Bottom line: I enjoyed the story. It's a fluffy happy read. Perfect for the Christmas season.
Unfortunately this one was just boring. Not enough happened and this girl did NOT explore enough for her time in a France!
