A Death in the Family: A Restoration of the Author's Text

Lyrical, poignant, heart-breaking, beautiful. James Agee smoothly moves from one family member's perspective to the next, showing equally well the feelings and thoughts of an elderly aunt and a four-year-old daughter. It is so well-written that I feel completely inadequate trying to describe it. I can definitely understand how it won a Pulitzer!
