A False Start

Do I have a new auto-buy author? I think I do! This is such a great series! Such amazing romantic book boyfriends and strong female main characters. The series gets better with each book! A False Stars follows Griffin Sinclair and Nadia Dalca (Stefan from The Front Runner's sister). This is an age gap/brother's best friend romance with slight enemies to lovers vibes. Both main characters have pasts that haunt them and effect the way they interact with people, especially each other. They bring out the best in each other and challenge each other to be their strongest self to overcome their pasts and insecurities. The romance is hot! I don't do a pepper scale but it is very steamy, and I am here for it! If you haven't tried out The Gold Rush Ranch series, you 100% should! This is an adult romance, 18+ for sexual content, language, themes. As always, check for trigger warnings.

How swoony

Griffin is Nadia's brother's best friend, who is 14 years older than her.
They first met in a bar bathroom and shared a spontaneous kiss, and then never saw each other again until a year or two later

Both have demons and pasts they are working to separate from.

Griffin is the former town golden boy, and is struggling to be someone worthy. He has avoidance tendencies and would rather stay away in his house in the Lou rains than face his past. Which means he doesn't feel worthy of Nadia and what she deserves

Griffin is a sweetheart. He is growly on the outside but he is a mushy romantic on the inside.

Nadia is a spitfire with attitude, just the way we like her. She fears becoming like her mother, and just wants to have a family. She finds that in Ruby Creek with her brother, and friends.

This was a cute read about getting a second chance, and a fresh start
