Anthropology professor and crime writer Luke Littlefield is taking his interns to Maine as they take part in the relocation of graves at the former Brookfield asylum when it becomes apparent that one of the graves is holding the body of one of the more recent dead. Very recent as it turns out. The task of trying to identify the murder victim is complicated by the fact there is no record of a missing person in Central Maine. Meanwhile Luke's old anthropology professor is searching to find a women whom he rescued as a baby. When the trail grows cold Luke's partner, West Hollywood Detective Bryan Sullivan, steps in to help. Luke may have taken on more than he bargained for when he suspects that there is a killer loose in Brookfield, Maine.
