Whenever it comes to opening my imagination to a new author I'm always a bit nervous. In the genre of Christian Historical Fiction I have my set authors that I love and I'm always hesitant to open my heart to new authors, but as I discovered in reading the first book in the Lake Manawa Summers I was completely delighted to enjoy the imagination and storytelling from new author Lorna Seilstad. I was easily eager to read the second in the series and finally it is here! Calm yet adventurous in the early 1900s is a fabulous way to describe the stories from the shore sides of Lake Manawa.
This is one of those series that can be read in sequence or as a stand alone novel through out. Which makes it great to pick up at any time! Full of characters with complex yet amusing personality keep the pages turning and make every chapter a delight.
