First I have to admit this is not the first Kathleen Morgan Christian Historical Fiction to enter my TBR pile, but it is the first one that I snatched up and read and I am glad that I do so! The title and premese remind me of home where it seems everyone is either for the University of Georgia or Georgia Tech and there is not much of a middle ground. However, there are these really neat license plate tags that say a home divided or something similar for families that are split down the middle. (When I went to search for a picture, I discovered there are also flags and all sorts of other things too with the same image.) Having a brother that graduated from UGA who then went on for some classes at GT it was interesting. Yet in the long run, my dad was from GT and my Enginerd went to GT, so my loyalties were drawn. Now back to the book...
I am delighted to have enjoyed the imaginative story from author Kathleen Morgan and she is one that I'm adding to my keeper shelf and now I'm eager to jump into her Scottish historicals that already sit upon my shelves waiting eagerly to be read. From the first page I was drawn in and entertained through out. The characters grasped me and I couldn't wait to see how the events unfolded. I do have to admit that toward the end-the last 70 or so pages-I felt that more than once the story jumped in the timeline and there could have been a better transition as I felt a scene was missing or two, but overall the story was there and gave me a great deal of pleasure in reading time.
I do recommend this novel. This is book one in the Heart of the Rockies series and I look forward to the rest to come.
