A Hundred Little Flames

The book will take you to various places that are described well in the book. I miss my native Kerala and the vacations I enjoyed there and a lot of memories overloaded when I read the book. This is a love story which is so pure and I loved the story and all the characters especially Gopal Shanker, Rohini, Ayan and Velu. I travelled with them to the times. A love that was different from what I have heard or read before that lasted till the end which created hangover after complete reading the book. Am saying the story of Gopal Shanker and Rohini which was so mesmerizing. The story begins where Ayan is in Pune partying and became a part of the scandal and lost a job and went to his native to stay with the grandfather as per the instruction of his father and the change in Ayan's life. One fine day Ayan's father arrives from Bahrain and takes his dad Gopal Shanker to a mental asylum as most of the people do with their old parents thinking as they are a burden. Gopal Shanker came back home and here starts the story of Rohini. We will be travelling with them to Pondicherry too. I wished there should be more description of Hyderabad too. Enjoyed reading the book. I started reading enthusiastically when muttachan(grandfather) was taken to asylum and Ayan trying to find him. This is the first book I read of the author Preeti Shenoy. I loved the writing which so simple and easy to read.
