reread October 2020I love this story. It is, of course, very much the trope collection about a little orphan girl who is being mistreated and then rescued and ends up very rich, and keeps her good character through the whole story. But I love the fact that she is kind and good and loves stories and is the friend of everyone, especially those who don't have any... And that she is doing her best and not whining even though she has to do homely, womanly chores.
