''I am. I'm very much attached to you, Lottie. I don't know how you did it, bum I'm addicted. You're not going anywhere.''
ARC provided for Candi Kane PR in exchange for an honest review
This wasn't my first Meghan Quinn book, but was my first ARC of the author and I was so freaking excited, I love Meghan's writing style and I knew this book wouldn't disappoint me.
So, we have these characters, Lottie and Huxley, that have an interesting first meeting and decide to help each other. When they start this agreement Huxley is a different person, it's more serious and it's all about the contract they have, his only goal is for everything to go well and for Lottie to behave.
And then Lottie, being Lottie, likes to push Huxley buttons. She's the opposite of Huxley and I really love her, love her personality. Lottie is chaos in Huxley's perfect and organized life, so yes, she's the kind of character that I like.
The side characters were funny to read, especially Lottie's sister and Huxley's brothers, I hope we can read more about them.
The book was so easy to read guys, and was fun, and of course, our grumpy, robot male character that his mission is not to throw compliments at the girl, has his romantic side and does some things for her giggling
So, go to read this book, the tropes are: fake engagement, fake pregnancy, contract, forced proximity
The baby class was one of the funniest things I have read in a long time. I loved the banter between Lottie and Huxley.
Laugh-out-loud funny, charming, sexy and all that jazz befitting of a romance novel.
Equally Funny, Sweet and Sexy!
It's been an awfully long time since Ive had a book that made me cackle with laughter, and this book hit that. In between laughing, I thoroughly enjoyed the story between Huxley and Lottie. A forced Proximity, fake relationship book at its finest! I loved seeing Huxley learn what was most important in his life, and I loved seeing Lottie challenge him! Definitely recommend reading this one!
“As Rachel Green would say, isn't that just kick-you-in-the-crotch, spit-on-your-neck fantastic?”
Spicy fake dating with fantastic banter? Sign me up!
I had so much fun with this.
This was Pretty Woman but modern and it had me absolutely hooked. It was so chaotic in the best way.
Was it cheesy and predictable at times? Yes. However, I think the important thing is that I had fun with this and I laughed.
There wasn't a character that I disliked (minus Angela) and that is a huge thing for me when it comes to reading. I thought every character was so unique in their own ways and brought something so special to the story.
I loved Lottie and Hux's interactions with their siblings. I always giggled in those moments. It was exactly like my relationship with my siblings.
The chemistry between Lottie and Hux was so intense. I'm so glad that this wasn't one of those ‘instant love' scenarios and it took a while before the romance began to kick in, despite how obvious their attraction towards one another was.
I am on the hunt for a rich husband.

ah, the fake dating trope 💖
never gets old, does it? specially when you get laughing out loud scenes that just make it that much more enjoyable 😌
loved hux and lottie, could have gone without that little miscommunication moment at 72% of the book, but it always needs to be there doesn't it? is it even romance if it doesn't break the couple when the book is almost over? nah, i guess not 🤷🏼♀️
it was a 4.5* for me, again, goodreads, let me add halves 😤
I laughed out at load at this book! I don't think I have done this for years...
I really enjoyed the characters, banter and so many scenes.
My first Meghan Quinn will not be my last.
