A Season to Love

3.5 stars, rounded up. I've merely had this on my tbr since 2017 and it should never have taken me three years to get around to reading this sweet story. Willa is an engaging character and one who's facing a lot of setbacks. Early widowhood and her only daughter's cancer has left her reeling for what sanity she can find in life.

I really wanted to paddle her brother for having the audacity to undermine her decisions about her daughter over and over again. I get that brothers are annoying at times, but he wanted to force her to be who she was before all that grief and he needed to back off and let her be a mom. I liked him less in this book than I did in book 1.

Patrick was a really fun hero. I loved the scenes of how he related to Savannah!

There were some other small things that bugged me, but overall I really loved reading Willa's journey and would like to own a hard copy book to reread.
