After the Storm

After having this series sitting on my kindle for the last few months, It's bittersweet to be saying goodbye to Cottonwood Cove. If I know anything about Laura's next series, it's that we will still see some of our favorite characters pop up here and there. After the Storm follows the final Reynolds's sibling, Cage, single dad and major grump, and Presley, Cage's first love who is a successful lawyer in New York. This story is a second chance and single dad romance. After Presley comes home for a few weeks to be with family, tension sparks between she and Cage ,and soon after, they rekindle their romance under the guise that it would only be until she went back home. I loved Cage, but sometimes he was a little too grumpy with no real reason to be

Definitely the best in the series.

Grumpy single dad, second chance small town romance.

Cage is a gruff small town vet, but is a softie on the inside. He cares so much for his daughter Gracie, and is the perfect dad.

Presley was his first love, but timing was never on their side.

She's back in town for a short while and they have a summer fling, to enjoy the time they have and they know it'll come to an end.

It was so heart warming and also heart breaking watching these two separate when we knew they loved each other and needed to be together.

This was my favorite book of the series! I love Cage and Presley and lil Gracie girl. She's the sweetest soul. The epilogue was a little “meh” in my opinion, but the rest of the book was amazing. They were so sweet and loving and the chemistry was great between the main characters. I love the sibling banter in the group chat through all the books with the Reynolds siblings. Such a great story to end the series with.
