3.5 stars ✨ and only because the last damn chapter was more interesting than the whole book combined.
Huge pacing problems!! I didn't like how it dragged so much in the beginning. Like, move faster you guys have been dead for a whole book.

WTF happened with Tesh and Tressa in the end?! So they just never made it out?
And then Brin died??? Are you fucking kidding me with this?!?!? So Hadrian is a Teshlor knight in name and not a descendant of Tesh???
A fitting ending to the Legends of the First Empire series. I'm going to miss these characters, but I'm excited to jump into Riyria and The Rise and Fall in the future.
