Oh wow the respect I have for Lana is immense. I was so close to tears and my heart feels broken with everything that was revealed here.
Started book #5 and I am sad that the series is almost to an end:(((
I AM ON EDGE. I dont even know how to rate these anymore. This one is by far the most descriptive of gore, violence, and sexual violence. Definitely the hardest to read on that front so just be aware. This small town setting though is ENGROSSING (not in a good way) and I cannot stop until I know how this ends.
Wooooow loved it so much
The characters and the plot is amazing
Get revengvibes
That ending. Cliffhangers get me every time.
Lots of killing details in this one.
I really like Hadley and Jake. I love secondary characters that are awesome. I hope they have a scene together in the book.
too slow paced for me at the beginning but once shit started going down i loved it
My heart feels like it was just ripped out along with Lana's. My heart cries out for the amount of pain she is in right after what Logan did I can understand but hate Logan at the same time. He's a profiler he should know better, but i guess he has always been blinded when it comes to lana. If you've read the series so far then you are completely invested in Lana and Logan and reading what happens to them is completely heartbreaking. Lana is so close to the finish line and this happens, especially with her being on edge as it is. I'm completely shocked by Leonard's sympathy towards her, never saw that coming. Reading this book you will face a flurry of strong emotions. Thank goodness there is already a next one available because I would go out of my ever loving mind waiting for the next book after that ending. I can't wait to see hat my girls think of this one. I love the back story that we finally saw and my god I can not wait to see what comes next.
Shit is going down and I'm here for it. I liked the way Logan's investigation into the serial killer and Delaney Grove progressed, how he -and we along- started to piece things together. Lana is a really compelling character: she has flaws and her moral compass is fucked up, but I can't blame her. Leonard's moral struggles were also really interesting to read about.
Lordddd have mercy!
Read the TW for this one specifically bc it all gets laid out and it's GRAPHIC

i get it now...that last chapter, my GOD
I hate Logan, I hate him so much for raping her like that without hearing what was her motives on the case. I hate him for real. He is hella toxic. He has zero rights to treat her like that.
rating - 3.5 / 5
the low rating only because this book was literally everything i was dreading, since i started the series. All the gory details, Logan finding out. It's all in there.
“I'm Victoria Evans. The daughter of the man you killed. The sister to the boy you let die. The victim you turned into a monster. And I'm going to kill you all.”
They think Lana is Kennedy, which makes no sense; And they're literally the fbi, but okaayy. Can't wait for him to find out the rest of the story.
“what you do for a living does not determine if you're a monster,”
