Sad. Depressing. Eye opening. Accurate? I don't know. But it helped me think about things and as a result I've had some very good conversations with my husband and kids.
This book is biased, yes. It's sensationalist and fearmongering in regards to porn. Her argument against porn isn't very nuanced at all. The author seems to be unaware of sex-positive porn and porn made by women/feminist porn. But she thinks porn is the problem affecting teen girls today. Porn has existed for ages. Sexism has existed for eons. Porn is only a piece of the puzzle, and it's also a piece that is influenced by culture. It doesn't cause rape culture. Sexist porn happens because of it.
That being said, I found her discussions with the teens themselves very interesting. I don't personally know any teens, and I'm obviously no longer a teen, so I learned quite a bit about how they think and relate to each other with social media, so I found some value in the book. Thus the three stars.
