The characters are compelling. As a reader, you can relate to Isaac and Poe. The choppy writing got to me, though. I had to rush through, so I knew how it ended and could walk away.

It was excellent character development and I needed to find out what would happen. my only complaint was that I didn't get the sense of place that I thought I would as it traded on the decline of the manufacturing belt.
