Synopsis:

Drawing on every period of English Literature from Anglo-Saxon times to the present day, this anthology offers a unique selection of poetry written by women. It is divided into ten thematic sections — for example, Motherhood, War, Faith and Religion, Politics and Social Protest — that illustrate the breadth of subject matter addressed by women.
