Georgina began as an annoying miss, but slowly grew on me as I read more of her struggles to appear normal in a world where her dyslexia prevents her from appearing at her best. What makes it worse for her is that she's managed to hide behind her maid's cleverness for years, so even her family is unaware of her problems with reading.
I appreciated Colin as a hero. He's the steady sort, or is becoming so; not flashy, but dependable. He began by being honest with Georgina and ended by helping her show her true colors instead of a sham.
It was often humorous, though not nearly as much as the first book was. At the same time, though, this book struck a deeper chord of faith even than the first one did. I really liked the message given near the end of the book.
Note: it's best to read this series in order—I went back to skim through the first book when I was about three chapters into this one when I needed to clarify some of what had happened earlier. I do have to say, I loved the richness given by the overlapping plot—to get Georgina and Colin's POVs on what was going on with Ryland and Miranda was pretty funny!
