Archie (2015-) #2

Not what I'm used to, but pretty good.

Well, I certainly wasn't expecting THAT backstory for Jug and I'm not sure how I feel about it, but at the same time I enjoyed the stories - both new and the old reprint at the end. It's heavy on the slapstick comedy, which is something I'm not used to as someone who was introduced to the world of Archie through the television show, but for a comic it works well. I was a little uncomfortable with the way Archie pokes fun at his best friend, though it seems to be portrayed as just how their friendship is so at least he's not being hurtful in context of the story. I also loved the outcome of Betty's struggle to be true to herself. Overall, an entertaining issue.
