This one is my very favorite of the Kinsey Millhone mysteries.
My first encounter with it was actually as an audiobook that my friend's mom had playing in the car when she picked me up one night for a sleepover (this was in junior high). It was super scary and exciting, and the next week I got the book from my library and read my little heart out.
Throughout junior high and high school I would get the audio version of this book and play it while cleaning my room. It was bliss. And whenever I want a good action book (it's not really a mystery anymore) this is inevitably the one I choose.
An enjoyable read. I found it a little slow and overly descriptive in the early parts of the book but I found the latter part much faster and enjoyed the ending.
This book was so much better than the first book I almost feel like it was written by another person. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Right from the beginning I was caught in the web and couldn't stop thinking about the story until I was finished. I thought I had it figured out early on and then as details came out I thought I was wrong.... I just couldn't stop reading until I knew what really happened.
Anyone who read the first book and decided not to continue on in the series should get this book a try. I am glad I did.
