This story, which takes place after the TV show but before the movie, would have made a great season premiere for the second season of the show. Which is rather bittersweet, but more of Mal and crew is better than nothing, no?
I liked this one even better than the last one. Badass Zoe, dinosaurs, Hero of Canton references... just super. It's only kept from being a five because it contains weird Simon and Kaylee scenes. I never like Simon and Kaylee as a couple. Kaylee can do better.
On the other hand, Shepherd Book For The Win.
This was fine... It's nice to revisit these characters but I think I'd probably be better served by reading Firefly fanfiction.
This one was much more interesting with dreamscapes being presented lending nice insights into each characters motivations. It also further outline Mal's hardcore attitude and continues to build on the tension between the characters aboard Serenity. Nice!
