I enjoy when comics do a backstory of characters so that we know more about them and why they do the things they do. I found this one to be both depressing and empowering. It was sad how Meiko did what she did was right to protect her family, even though it cost her freedom in the end.
Also Meiko has been in prison since she was a child? For killing a creep who was surely going to assault her? Great read and once again amazing artwork.
