I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. This was a difficult book for me to rate. I don't read a lot of non-fiction, but when I see one about the Holocaust, I usually check it out. I liked this book, but I didn't like how he went back and forth with the dates. It was just confusing. That being said, it was an interesting read. I can see how food and supply shortages could drive this kind of thinking, the us or them philosophy. I still hope nothing like the Holocaust ever happens again though. It is soooo disturbing to me that so many followed Hitler. I would've given this 4 stars, but the date jumping made this more difficult to read. I wish he would've started at one year and worked his way up.
