BLOCK HOLE is perfect example of how to write a very boring story. Characters have no goals, no resolutions, no interesting traits. The plot isn't character driven or event driven. The world revolves around one metaphor. It's an interesting one, but a single idea can't carry a book, ever.
The artwork is so well done that it made me want to vomit, though, so it's got that going for it. It's grotesque, and does pull some emotions from me in ways the writing didn't even try. Over all though I can't recommend investing the time it takes to read the words.
Definitely one of the weirder graphic novels I've ever read, and that's saying something.
Fast paced, a little too raunchy at times but doesn't have page numbers for a reason. Makes you want to finish the book in one sitting.
