I normally don't like books set in France, especially Paris. Paris is normally portrayed as a really impressive important place, a place that almost takes over the novel, with characters who aren't really likable. This is not that book. Paris is the setting without being a character. The characters aren't necessarily likable, but you know going in that you don't have to like them. You do understand them pretty well. It was a quick enjoyable read.
