I didn't know what to expect from this book but I was not expecting to love it quite as much as I did. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. Sloane Howell is fantastic at blending humor and emotion. Ethan Mason is a dreamy, cocky bastard and I loved him. I also wanted to slap him and shout at him and then hug him. Literally a full range of emotions. Jenny Jackson is my kind of girl, she's smart and witty and gives as good as she gets. I loved the banter between the two of them and their interactions with Matt, Kelsey and Jenny's dad; pure honesty and it felt very real. I cannot wait for Scored.
This cover is OK. The dude is hot I'll give you that. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a lot of personality to it and comes across a bit bland in my opinion.
I really enjoyed this one. It was a super sweet read. It was well-written and nicely paced. No OW/OM drama. The only angst came from the couple themselves. It had some nice sex scenes. A little bit of humor. A little bit of sadness. A couple of interesting side characters (who will be featured in the next book.) A set of likable main characters. Though Jenny DID get on my nerves a couple of times with her tendency to blame Ethan for things that were out of his control. This was especially frustrating when something happens at the end, and her reaction was so OTT and distasteful if I had been Ethan I would have washed my hands of her right then. Overall though this was a really enjoyable way to spend a few hours.
