Abandoned by his father, Danny Roberts struggles to find his way through the confusion of adolescence and developing sexuality. Danny finds comfort in the words of Dave, the man that becomes his mentor and discovers true love in the green eyes of Sarah but not every story has a happy ending and the citizens of Fatherless may have to wait a generation for their freedom. This book is for anyone who has suffered loss, found true love or likes dystopian novels. The book deals with the subject of adolescent sexuality but is appropriate for young adults featuring a delicious, yet tastefully written intimate scene. There is humorous sarcasm throughout and several intense action scenes. Readers will laugh and cry as they follow Danny through his dysfunctional life to a completely unexpected climax.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Overall, this book had a good premise but the way it was presented was lacking. I do like the dystopian world which the story was based upon. I do not however, think the author described the setting well. I was difficult for me to imagine the way the world was constructed. The characters as well didn't really capture my attention. I feel that with a little more character structure and world structure this book would have been great.
