This on was just ok for me. The storyline was good. I listened to this one on audio and the female character's voice was just way overdone, just took me out of the story.
This was really good!!! They say slow burn and maybe it is, but not really compared to queen MZ.

The characters had depth and I loved them deeply. Jax has a grumpy exterior but it's a shield. He's a cinnamon roll on the inside just looking to be seen and loved without obligation.
After hearing his story and why he never wanted to return to his hometown, my heart broke for him.
But lucky Bianca is there. She is his friend. She stands up for him and doesn't take shit. She's what he needs !
