I did not have any expectations for this one. None. I just thought alright, another small town romance, no biggie.
But I was pleasantly surprised.
It's good. It's really good. Engaging, emotional, suspense. A good read.

Such a good start to another series by this author!
I already love all the siblings and their parents, just as easily as I loved the family in her Tattered & Torn series.
My only slight issue is that I really don't like the whole “I left because I don't deserve you/you deserve better” trope, that's not your decision pal. If you love her so much, then surely she gets a say?!
An exciting and dramatic small town romantic suspense.
Wren and Holt grew up together, and were madly in love. At 18, tragedy struck, and Holt left town for 10 years.
When he comes back, memories resurface. Both try to move on but they still loved each other.
They both got a second chance at love, and a chance to heal old wounds.
This town is small but has the flare for the drama and excitement. Never a quiet moment in Cedar Ridge
Enjoyed this exciting beginning. This is a new author to me and I was enamoured with the writing.
I think I found my new favorite genre romance with a bit of suspense. Usually second chance books you can see why it didn't workout and I usually feel like they probably should have stayed away. Buuuuut Oh to have what Holt and Wren have! I loved how protective Holt was without being mean to her or being extremely overbearing. Who would have thought that I would love a nickname like cricket?! Every time he called her that I swooned. The twist at the end definitely got me! I really enjoyed this book a lot and I'm excited to continue onto the next book
