Going into this book, I really didn't have any expectations if I'm being honest, but for whatever reason I throughly enjoyed this. I think it helped that I loved both main characters. Rob & Maegan's dynamic was the best. I also liked Owen & Samantha. They're some of the best side characters ever. Overall, this book really hooked me.
ok i honestly don't know i how i feel about this book.
i loved a lot of it - the characters (rob and owen own my whole heart), the relationships, the family dynamics and how messy it all is. and while this book does bring up some important topics, it fails to really take a stance on any of them, which makes some of the messages a little blurry on this one.
aside from its incredibly predictable and rather underwhelming ending, maegan's inability to seem compelling as a character and the unnecessary romance subplot (am i blind?? cos there was no chemistry between rob and maegan), it's still a really enjoyable contemporary that doesn't shy away from darker themes.
also i need a whole book about owen
I loved this book SO. MUCH. Brigid Kemmerer creates characters with such complex and interesting back stories and conflicts. She manages to write adorable romances without the romance being an overpowering aspect of the book. Her stories are always so much more than a love story. This was a story about family and morality and judgment.
I absolutely LOVED Letters To The Lost and More Than We Can Tell, so I was super excited to start another standalone ya Brigid Kemmerer book. I swear each one I re
